BENEFITS OF HOME SAFE

Who me? That’s what you might be thinking if someone asked you if you have a home safe! Aren’t those reserved for people that live in big mansions or work in banks and credit unions? That’s the common perception but it is not entirely accurate. Anyone in every class of neighborhood can enjoy the many benefits offered by having a home safe. Buckeye Locksmith AZ has put together some great pointers to show you how you can enjoy better security for your valuables and prized possessions by having and using your own residential safe.

So, what can I put in my safe?

The short answer is; anything you want! Here in Buckeye, AZ and all throughout the greater Phoenix Metro area, home owners, renters and lease holders alike are resorting to securing their most valuable possessions inside a home safe. It may be a free standing unit, hidden behind a picture, inside a wall, under a staircase, even buried under the floor! As for contents, you can put anything you like into your safe. You can add cash and jewelry as well as art and rare photographs. Don’t forget flash drives, licenses, warranties and stock certificates. Then, there are appraisals, passports, gold bars, coins, licenses, software, valued mementoes, insurance policies, mortgage documents, licenses, certificates and even guns!

premium-home-safe-in-cabinet

Why not a file cabinet or locking desk drawer?

Sometimes our Buckeye, AZ customers ask us if adding a home safe to protect their possessions is not over-kill. After all, won’t a locking desk drawer or file cabinet do the trick? That really depends on you and how much you value your treasured items. Almost all locking furniture like cabinets, desks, file cabinets and lock boxes can be easily forced open, stolen, or broken into. A simple crow bar or hammer is often all that is needed. Most of these locking items are not as secure as many think and often, they are easily just loaded onto a truck or SUV for opening later. If you are fine with that level of security, that’s great but in the event that you want greater protection, a home safe is definitely the way to go!

What makes a safe, “safe”?

A home safe is aptly named. A well-built, properly maintained one will be able to secure your valuables from theft, nosy neighbors, dust, intruders, moisture, wind, family members, heat, fire and many other perils that can damage or otherwise compromise your belongings. Not only is the actual construction of a safe better than your usual locking desk drawer, but the locks are of higher quality, as well.

Safes can be operated by a dial, key, fingerprint access, number sequence or other form of security access. While movies and television show safes to be easily “cracked” or opened by spies, government agents, mafia lords and foreign military experts, the opposite is really the truth. Your safe really is “safe” and while not impossible to open, it won’t happen quickly and easily like films like to portray.

So, where do I get my safe?

There are many places here in Buckeye, AZ or in metro Phoenix to purchase a good residential safe. You can shop locally at area retail stores like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Sears and Sam’s Club. Most of these stores also have a presence online if you wish to shop that way. Keep in mind that the sales person helping you (if any) is NOT a safe expert and won’t be of much help if you have questions or need more specialized information.

One great way to learn more about which home safes might be right for your needs is to “Google” the subject and see what other online retailers are charging for their safes and well as the going rates for installation, shipping, set-up fees, and warranty service. Amazon, E-Bay and Craigslist are also great sources for both shopping and research. Don’t forget to check reviews; both good and bad. You can learn a lot about sellers, safe brands, models, maintenance and more by reading what others have experienced with their safes.

How about a safe store?

Safe stores are where many shop for their safes and while there is nothing wrong with doing this, it can be a little pricier as you will be dealing with extra middle-men and higher mark ups. Bear in mind that safe stores are the retail end and they almost always outsource their delivery, set-up, repair, service and maintenance to local locksmith shops. Many times the retail store staff or even owners will not know the answers to your buying or service questions and will get back to you after consulting with their locksmith friends. What does this tell you? You guessed it; call your own locksmith!

Which locksmith?

Ah, glad you asked! Sure, you can call Buckeye Locksmith AZ but you don’t have to! There are many local lock and key shops that can help you. Just use a company that you feel comfortable working with. We always recommend that you work with real locksmith experts and not just handymen or unlicensed dabblers that work for a call center. If your items are worth protecting with a safe, they are worth the price of a full service, licensed, bonded and insured lock professional. Contrary to popular thought; a true locksmith doesn’t have to be expensive or hard to work with. Call around and see who is affable on the telephone and cheerfully gives you answers to your questions.

The right locksmith company for your residential safe needs should offer free price quotes, 24-hour emergency help, same day service, mobile convenience and affordable pricing. It’s always best to work with a safe shop that specializes in ALL aspects of lock and key service including residential, automotive, commercial and emergency service. Remember; you are entrusting your security and lock protection to a professional, so why not be sure to select one that can handle ALL of your home, business and driving locksmith needs?

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE IGNITION CYLINDER TROUBLE

If you aren’t able to get your car started, there are numerous reasons why this is happening. One possibility is that your vehicle has had a failing ignition switch for quite awhile. If this is the case, then you need to examine it further. A worn-out ignition can end up being a hazard, so do not ignore this issue. You may be able to determine the nature of the problem yourself.

ignition

Causes for Ignition Problems

The battery may be drained. When you start your automobile, the ignition coil takes power from the battery, sending it out to the sparkplugs, which ignites the fuel so the engine will fire up. If you ever turn the engine over too many times, you might drain your battery until there isn’t any power remaining.

Is the switch overheating? There may be a short in the system. If the ignition switch is hot when you touch it, then the problem is likely in the electrical system. Because the ignition switch is connected to high-resistance wires, any of the terminals where the wires are connected could overheat, which may melt the insulating base. In case it does get fried, then your vehicle jerks violently, and will not start up.

There might be too much wear and tear. If so, the key will become ineffective over time, and eventually stop working at all. Then the key will need to be remade, applying the factory key cutting codes, so that the key is properly cut and fully functional.

Did you stick the wrong key into the ignition switch by mistake? If it went all the way in, don’t try to get it out! You might cause irreparable damage. Call an automotive locksmith!

One typical reason an ignition fails is because it’s always been defective. Check with the manufacturer. If you are still under warranty, the dealership ought to replace the ignition cylinder. If you are not under warranty any more, hire an automotive locksmith.

Check the Status

Whenever you stick your car key in the ignition switch and turn it, there are basically 3 status positions:

1. In the “off” status position, there is no power being transmitted to the system.

2. In the “on” status position, the dashboard lights illuminate, but your engine remains off.

3. In the “start” status position, you are exerting full key pressure, and this fires up the engine.

One sure sign of a faulty ignition switch is that your instrument panel lights don’t come on when your key is in position 2.

Take a good look at your dashboard lights. Regular wear and tear on your vehicle can lead to ignition switch failure, especially if you have an older automobile. If your ignition switch is malfunctioning, you probably won’t hear clicks from the main relay. If you’re stalling out, examine your dashboard lights. Turn the key to status position 2, and if the oil light, brake light, charge light, and additional warning lights aren’t on, then something is definitely wrong. You can also test the ignition switch’s integrity: When you get the car key to the “start” status position, as soon as you hear it start up, let go of the key, and allow it to snap back to the “on” status position. If your warning lights go off when the switch snaps back, then the switch is bad.

Did you break off the key? Is some other object lodged inside the lock mechanism? Don’t try to fix this yourself! Instead, call an automotive locksmith. Otherwise, you could cause irreparable damage. In general, a professional automotive locksmith is capable of easily removing a broken key or any foreign object without needing to replace the entire ignition switch.

Your key ignition’s set of wafers, which index with corresponding cuts on the car key, may be too worn. The ignition switch will fail if it is jammed up with dirt and grime. You can replace individual wafers, or do some good old basic cleaning, and then you shouldn’t need to do a full ignition replacement.

Your transponder key might not be working. This usually means that the computer chip has lost its programming. Get your existing key reprogrammed; or, hire a professional automotive locksmith to copy the existing cuts, and program a new key. This precise task must be carried out by a legitimate automotive locksmith.

Was there a thwarted attempt to steal your vehicle? An amateur car thief will make a huge mess of your ignition switch and steering column. If this has happened, you must replace the whole ignition assembly.

Keep an eye out for these warning signs:

  • your vehicle is prone to stalling while you’re idling
  • the steering wheel sometimes gets stuck, or may even become immovable
  • the key will sometimes come out, even while your car’s still running
  • you may see higher auto emissions
  • you might notice increased fuel consumption
  • you cannot even get the key in the ignition at all
  • you observe car battery problems

DIY

If you decide to replace your ignition switch by yourself, make sure you know what you’re doing ahead of time! It is not an easy task, particularly on a newer vehicle, because they often contain anti-theft devices. Replacing your ignition switch without taking the recommended precautions, and without using the proper tools, will make your car inoperable! The electrical current running through your automobile’s system can actually cause major bodily harm. Accordingly, keep all metallic objects away from all electrical wires. The entire process involves disconnecting the battery cable from the battery’s terminal, removing the steering column, removing the wiring harness connected to the ignition switch, and so forth, before you can install a new ignition switch. Therefore, unless you’re certain you know exactly what you are doing, it’s best to hire an expert. If you’re located anywhere in Buckeye, Arizona, it’s wise to choose a reputable locksmith company, such as the mobile automotive locksmith specialists on staff at Buckeye Locksmith AZ

Buckeye Locksmith AZ: What To Do In Different Lockout Situations

Getting locked out of the house is certainly “no walk in the park.” Feelings of anxiety quickly arise when one realizes that their key is nowhere to be found. Or perhaps you just completed a road trip that took you several hours, and you realize you left your key in the hotel room, which is hours away by car. What are you supposed to do when you are left trapped outside, unable to get back in? There are various things to keep in mind if you ever get locked out. Buckeye Locksmith AZ has put together some information which could benefit people all over Buckeye, Arizona and everywhere else in the country. Have a look at some of the most common lockout scenarios that they see, and see what you are supposed to do.

Locked-out-of-house.jpg

  1. You are locked out of your house late at night. This can be scary, even if you live in a safe neighborhood. The first thing that should come to mind is your safety. With this in mind, double check to make sure that you are unable to get in through the garage or through a back door. Sometimes, we leave sliding glass doors unlocked without even thinking about it. And sometimes, we have codes which allow us access to our garage, which leads straight into the house. Do these things before taking the next steps, which are to be taken once you have determined that you truly are locked out of the house late at night. Now, if you feel uncomfortable in any way, then consider knocking on a neighbor’s door to let them know what is going on. If this isn’t an option because of the time, then think about calling law enforcement. It is very likely that you will be able to get on the phone with someone who will come to wait with you for a locksmith to arrive. Wait in your vehicle if this is an option, and be sure to lock the doors. As soon as you feel as though you are safe, dial the number of a local locksmith. They should be able to provide you with an estimated time of arrival, so you’ll know how much longer you need to wait.
  2. You are locked out of your car in your driveway or in a parking lot. First, double check the passenger door and back doors. Occasionally, locksmiths get phone calls from persons who thought they were locked out, only to discover that another door was unlocked the entire time. Are you sure that you are locked out of the car now? So long as you feel that you are in a safe situation, go inside and call a locksmith. This can save you a lot of money, because your alternative might be to break open a window. No one wants to have to pay to replace broken glass, when this didn’t need to happen in the first place.
  3. You’re locked out of your car in the middle of the night. The same idea holds true for this as in scenario number 2, except you need to be sure to exhibit plenty of caution. This will entail going into a well-lit place. If you’re in your own driveway, go inside. If you’re in the parking lot of a mall, go inside if possible. Consider calling a security professional or police officer to wait with you for a locksmith to show up.
  4. You are locked out of your office. This is a tough one, because you don’t want your day to day operations to be put on hold because of forgetting or losing a key. Do you have a colleague who lives nearby or happens to be in the area that can drop off a spare key? Do you have a copy that you might keep in your vehicle? Does your building have the option to enter a code to get inside? Be sure to check your alternatives prior to calling in a locksmith. Sometimes, the solution is right in front of you. But don’t assume you have to smash open a window or break your front door lock – call a lock and security provider, as they often times provide 24/7 assistance. This is helpful to those who need to get into their office before normal business hours. Maybe you work in a retail store and you are planning on doing a “floor set” or perhaps you have a huge client coming into town today and you need to get into your office to start prepping. Call a 24/7 locksmith to get back inside right away.

Try to avoid becoming locked out

These are some very common lockout scenarios and the steps that should be taken. If you can prevent the lockout from ever taking place, this is always your best route. Some ways to do this include having a spare copy of your key made and given to someone trusted who is accessible; buying a hide a key to store away a spare key right by the door; going keyless – keyless entry is gaining popularity all over the country, allowing persons to access their valuable property with a code that they just have to remember. This can be easier for many than carrying a key around which could easily be misplaced.

Buckeye Locksmith AZ has provided these tips to benefit persons throughout the Buckeye, AZ area but the advice can also be appreciated by people who live elsewhere in the country. If you’ve ever been locked out, think about what you wish you had done differently. Think about any steps that you could have taken to prevent the lockout from ever happening in the first place. One final thing to do is to save the phone number of a locksmith that serves your area – be sure to make note of whether or not they are available 24 hours a day, every day of the week. And be sure to always be cautious!

download

Locksmith Situation Residential

We are all familiar with home lockout situations. They happen to just about everyone at some point, but did you know that locksmiths offer many additional benefits to local Buckeye, AZ homeowners and renters? Were you aware that most home builders only install the minimum security locks on the homes, condos and apartments they construct? The codes and building laws don’t require anything more; besides, upgrades can be a real profit center!

If you’ve ever been burglarized or robbed at home, you know how horrible and stressful that can be! Lock bumping is easy and on a rise all over the country. Even YouTube displays videos on how to bump a lock. The videos are supposedly for information purposes only but do you think the crooks care? Why pay for a security expert to come to your house and outfit it with expensive monitoring equipment and other alarm systems? A licensed, bonded and insured residential locksmith can do the same thing for a lot less! Buckeye Locksmith AZ even has bump proof, high security locks that are pry proof, pick proof and even blast proof. These locks are affordable, quickly installed and can actually add value to your property as well as peace of mind for you.

Locksmith Situations Commercial

Having an experienced commercial locksmith as part of your specialty team is just plain smart! What do we mean by that? Every local Buckeye, AZ firm has their go-to specialists like accountants, attorney(s), advertising specialists, web designer, etc. Why not add an established commercial locksmith? General contractors can use their locksmith to add lock boxes, panic bars, security cameras and high security locks on their properties. Companies that need to monitor staff, customers and vendors can have their locksmith install CCTV equipment, fingerprint locks, access control, security vaults, bump proof locks, panic bars, intercom systems and a bevy of other high tech locks, hardware and mechanisms that you typically don’t think of when the work “locksmith” is used.

Locksmith Situations Automotive

Sure, a locksmith can help you when you’ve locked your keys in the trunk. But the offer so much more! Our Buckeye Locksmith AZ crew also helps when ignition systems fail and when car alarms need installation, repair or service. Keys can be cut by just about any mail center or home improvement store; you don’t need an automotive locksmith for that. On the other hand, if you need a transponder key programmed, duplicated or repaired, no one does it more affordably or more conveniently than an experienced and skilled automotive locksmith. Here in Buckeye, AZ there are car dealers and auto mechanics galore but if your ignition system is out, your car must be towed in to them. That in itself is an added expense but now you also have to contend with a middle man fee as the repair shop calls in their locksmith to work on your auto locks or ignition. Can you see where the bills are starting to mount up?

Locksmith Situations Emergency

Lockout situations aren’t the only emergencies. Do you have tenants? If so, you know the disgust when they skip town and take your key with them. You can’t rent your property out until you get new ones and some rekey work. Is your home alarm blaring and won’t shut off? Do you really want to wait until morning to call someone that can help? What if your emergency falls happens in the middle of the night or on Christmas? Emergency situations don’t keep regular working hours and neither do our Buckeye Locksmith AZ emergency pros. What if you have a movie theater and discover that your panic bars are jammed? The movie is still running but you don’t want to deal with a panic when the crowd discovers that they can’t exit normally. An emergency locksmith can fix the problem affordably and very quickly and save you possible injuries or ticket refunds.

Be Choosy!

Will any locksmith do? No! It’s a myth that the best locksmiths are the most expensive ones. People hear that all the time and that’s why they delay in calling a fully certified and 24-hour full service shop like ours. Situations that need a locksmith happen all the time but folks are reluctant to call because of the perception that it is going to be pricey. You should do some due diligence before you need a locksmith. Find a local Buckeye, AZ shop that is full-service, available 24/7 and is bonded, insured and fully licensed. See if they offer affordable rates and free price quotes. Are they mobile and available to come to your home, place of business, workplace or car location? If you can answer YES to all of the above then put them on the short list and add one or all of them to your smart phone contacts for handy and fast access to them in a hurry.

HOW TO KNOW WHEN IT’S TIME TO REPLACE YOUR LOCKS

Your home’s security is obviously of utmost importance to you and your family. You certainly want your place of residence to be a sanctuary, where you always feel comfortable and safe. Therefore, you must keep your home’s locks in topnotch shape. You’ll continually keep your family and your valuables secure when your locks are solid and durable. Accordingly, make sure all your locks are functioning properly, with superior resilience.

lock change

Things sometimes can go wrong with your keys and locks. Although a good locksmith will be available day or night, 24/7 ~ such as the mobile expert locksmiths on staff at Buckeye Locksmith AZ, located in Buckeye, Arizona ~ it’s still best to be pro-active instead. That way, you’ll be able to prevent most potential mishaps.

How do you know when it is the right time to replace your locks? Here are important points you ought to consider:

New Tenants or Roommates

If you rent out space from your home or apartment, or have rental properties of any kind, it’s essential that you absolutely must replace locks each time you change tenants. Even if the former occupants returned their keys to you, you cannot be fully certain that they didn’t make copies. If a break-in ever were to happen, you certainly don’t want to have any doubts about previous residents. Keep your property totally secure and protected with the reputable brand-name locks.

A New Home

Of course, if you just moved into a new place of residence, the same rules that apply to your rental properties apply to your home. It’s crucial that you get your locks changed. You simply never know who may still have an old key jangling around somewhere.

Normal Wear and Tear

Worn-out locks are a major weakness in your home security. The truth is, old or rusted locks are easier to break and pick, and they grow more difficult to open as time passes. If a lock has rust, a bad tarnish, or is showing any other signs of wear, it is probably time to replace it. If the lock is becoming increasingly difficult to open with the key, especially in cold weather, then you ought to replace it.

Damaged Locks

If you are unfortunate enough to have had your locks vandalized, tampered with, or damaged in any other way, then it’s time to get new locks. Don’t take any risks! Replace your locks right away. It’s not a good idea to keep a damaged lock for an extended period, because it will make it susceptible to additional damage or robbery.

Rusty Locks

You and your family and friends go in and out of your doors countless times every day. Over time, the locks will surely become worn-out, and can even get to be rusted, which means they’ll break more easily. If there are indeed any visible signs of rust, you’ll start to notice that you’re beginning to have trouble putting the key in the lock mechanism, or getting it to turn. If so, it’s time for lock replacement.

Break-ins

If you have experienced a burglary, it’s imperative that you replace your locks. The force involved in a break-in usually compromises the integrity of a lock mechanism. A damaged lock will put you at greater risk of another robbery, and mechanical malfunction may leave you locked out. Furthermore, you don’t know if your keys could have fallen into the wrong hands. Don’t risk it! Replace all your locks immediately.

Lost Keys

If you’ve truly misplaced your keys, it may take awhile to admit it; but if your keys are lost for good, then change your locks as soon as possible. You don’t want a stranger to have access to your home. All your outdoor locks, which would allow access to an intruder, should be replaced. After you’ve fully secured your outdoor locks, then replace any inside locks according to your personal security priorities.

Stuck Keys

It doesn’t occur too often, but it can happen: A key can get stuck or even break off in a lock. When any issue comes up with the internal mechanism, the key won’t slide as effortlessly into the lock. If you feel any resistance when you turn the key, this is a sign that it’s getting to be time to replace the lock.

Combination Locks

Are you always losing your keys? Then you might want to consider replacing your regular lock with a combination door lock. Combination door locks are opened by inputting a code. Most combination locks have a keyed lock too, in case the combination input ever malfunctions, or so you can gain entry if you ever forget the code. Remember, change the combination if you ever think its access could have been compromised, just as you would replace a normal lock if you lost your keys. Moreover, as a rule, it’s a good idea to change the code periodically.

Deadbolts

If you’re feeling particularly vulnerable at your property for whatever reason, any locksmith professional will tell you that replacing your locks with deadbolts will definitely enhance your level of security.

Peace of Mind

Locks don’t necessarily have to show obvious signs of damage or wear and tear for you to have to replace your locks. As time goes by, you could forget how many friends, family members, and neighbors have been given copies of your keys, and may not have returned them. You may want to replace locks periodically, as a way to wisely maintain your home, thus augmenting your security. You’ll have peace of mind, when you know you’re providing better protection for your family, your property, and your possessions.

Going Digital

Would you rather go high-tech? Then replace your traditional locks with digital locks. It’s a great way to secure your home without any keys at all! Keyless locks ~ which work with remotes or with smart devices; keypads; alarm systems with remote codes; and so forth ~ have opened new horizons in home security technology. Once you get accustomed to it, they’re easy to use, and most include an attractive selection of features providing you with exceptional security and convenience.

Buckeye Locksmith AZ: Transponder Key Problems

The crew at Buckeye Locksmith AZ has kindly provided instructive information for vehicle owners everywhere, not just in Buckeye, Arizona – if you are having problems with your transponder keys, then you might want to take a look at the information provided. All sorts of issues can occur when it comes to car keys, and some of the most common ones have been outlined here. So what can go wrong? Have a look and see if you are dealing with a similar problem!

TRANSPONDER-KEYS

First of all, for anyone who does not know, a transponder key has a transmitter in its plastic portion. It sends an emission to the receiver, meaning electrical signals are alerting your car that it is okay to start when you use said key with your vehicle. Here are some things that can go wrong…

  1. The transponder key simply isn’t working. If the transponder key has stopped working, meaning it is unable to emit the frequency needed to work, it might be lacking in electrical power. If there is low power, then the key might emit a different signal of frequency that is not recognizable to your vehicle. When that happens, often times just a new battery is needed. This is something that is simple to obtain, and it is something that you should do right away. Why? Because it provides security that you need. When it comes to dead batteries, it is such an easy fix, that it is pointless to wait and potentially have to pay for a locksmith or the dealership to unlock or help start your automobile for you. Check the battery! It is part of your car’s anti-theft system, and you want it to be working all of the time, not just some of the time.
  1. There is chip damage. The transponder chip can end up becoming damaged, and when this happens, you might end up needing a brand new transponder key. This is something that you can contact your dealership for, and they can make sure that your old key is deactivated.
  1. The transponder key is locked. Say that you bought a refurbished transponder key in an effort to save money. The chip has been harvested from another key and inserted into the new key. What could go wrong? Well, with some cars, once the chip is programmed, you are unable to reprogram it. So basically you are left with a key that is locked. For this reason, it is not necessarily the best idea to try to buy new transponder keys online, or at least, refurbished ones. There are many lock and security providers that will refuse to deal with a refurbished transponder key, so it is important to make sure that if you buy one, it comes from a company that you can trust. Make sure the business is reputable and has great reviews. It should be in good standing.
  1. The transponder key was programmed incorrectly. If you go to someone without experience, they might not know precisely what they are doing. There are certain tricks that a lock and security professional will know about to ensure everything is done properly. To ensure proper transponder key programming, do your research or call a professional from the get go.
  1. The transponder key might be surrounded by too much metal. This might sound strange, but if you have an excessive amount of metal surrounding your transponder key, it could be blocking the transponder from picking up the appropriate signals. At the very least, if you are unable to figure out what is wrong, this is something that is worth looking into as a possible problem.

For the most part, transponder keys come with a great deal of convenience, no matter what you happen to drive. But occasionally, issues can arise. Sometimes, it is as simple as having the battery switched out, which is something that many car owners do themselves. Other times, the issue has to do with improper programming. It is easy to avoid problems by fixing them as soon as signs start to come up. For instance, if your transponder key only works sometimes, or if you can see that there is a light flashing frequently, it might be alerting you that the battery is dying. When you do notice that something is wrong that isn’t in your realm of do it yourself expertise, remember to hire a reputable company for the job. If you are in Buckeye, Arizona, you can call Buckeye Locksmith AZ, but if you are anywhere else, do your research. Look up local locksmiths that are licensed and insured and that have great reviews. Or go to your dealership. Even if these things cost you more at first, you will find that you save money by avoiding potential problems down the road.

There are far too many stories of people buying parts off of places like eBay, only to realize they bought the wrong parts, or that they were misled into buying something not actually needed. There are too many stories of people using so-called experts off Craigslist who weren’t licensed or insured and ended up causing damage to their vehicle or to their car keys. Do things right the first time, even if you think you could save a little bit of money cutting corners. Use an expert who only cuts keys, not corners, no pun intended! Remember that the majority of keys for cars that were created after 1995 use transponder chips. So if your car was made after 1995, you should keep this information in mind because it might come in handy at some point in time.

Watch your transponder key for signs of problems, and if you notice problems, have them dealt with right away! You will be glad that you did later. Remember that this is part of your car’s anti-theft system, so it is your security that is at stake.
